Biography
Originally conceived as a song-writing project between Mark Woodward (guitar, vocals) and Nicholas Roy (keys, vocals), The Weekend People started life as a guitar and piano duo. Even in the early days the pair were know for their energetic performances, relying on boot heels thumped down on the stage for rhythm.

Their self-titled debut album was an ongoing and somewhat itinerant home recording that endured moving from the inner city and suburban Melbourne, to Perth and to 6 months spent in India.
Despite this, the album comes across as a live and very honest offering and charts winding journey through the band members. eclectic tastes and backgrounds.
